Vinyl Removals Tucson Plumbing Utility Truck Wrap Pt. 1
Pt 1. of 2 of the vehicle wrap install: Vinyl Removal
Right after completing our first Tucson Plumbing vehicle wrap we received a second truck. You can see our first vehicle wrap install for Tucson Plumbing here. This truck we also had to remove the vinyl for. For this truck the existing printed graphics were laminated. This makes the vinyl removal process much easier. The laminate material that covers the print also acts to give the vinyl a thicker layer. With the graphic being “thicker” it allows the vinyl to be removed easier. It helps keep the vinyl from shattering when pulled off. Without the laminate, the vinyl cracks and shatters easily making the removal much longer. This will cause a longer removal process and it will increase the cost in removal labor.
This is the second utility truck for Tucson Plumbing. This is what it looks like with all of the original vinyl. After many years the sun has warped the print and caused some cracking in the graphics. Luckily the print was protected by a laminate so the removal process will be done quickly so we could start the actual wrap.
This is our progress of the vinyl removal. The rear has been finished and now we are working on the driver side graphics. The printed door decals have also been removed. They have also been cleaned and will get prepped for install when the removal process is nearly completed.
The sides take longer because of the larger amount of vinyl that has to be removed. This is generally true with all vinyl removals.
Driver side is cleaned up and now to work on the passenger side. There will be a part 2 which will show the cleaned truck and adding the printed graphics to it.
