Vinyl Lettering for True Way
Text rebuilding and cut vinyl lettering install on a tractor trailer
Innovative Signs was given a side panel of a tractor trailer to remove the old vinyl lettering and rebuild the text and install new vinyl lettering. When we first got the panel we had to take pictures and measurements of the existing text so we could rebuild it accurately. After rebuilding the text in a digital format using Illustrator we started the task of removing the old vinyl. Sometimes when removing old vinyl there will be an impression of where vinyl used to be similar to a shadow. We had to clean the surface well to remove this and even did some polishing and detailing to make it look brand new.
Using the pictures of the design as a guide to the install we applied the cut vinyl lettering to the truck side panels. The vinyl color used was one called high performance silver metallic. High performance means it is the best high quality vinyl available. Silver metallic describes the color and look of the vinyl. Check out other examples of vinyl on this post. This is a picture of the old truck panel. The vinyl is old and worn out. This is what we used to rebuild the new vinyl lettering to replace it. Old vinyl can be difficult to remove sometimes. Depending on how long it’s been on there, the vinyl could be “baked” into the metal or paint and cause it to be well dug in.
This is the new vinyl lettering after it was installed on the truck. It is made with silver metallic vinyl. This vinyl appears to have a shiny metal appearance when looked at closely. When the panels were installed we contacted the customer they were ready for pickup.
