Pin Badge Stickers Install
Pin Badge made into stickers by using a high resolution picture
These are stickers that were made from a high resolution pictures taken of pin badges. For the final product the stickers would be installed on the side of a Jeep. The plan was to take a high resolution picture and then print them as stickers instead of rebuilding them to save money. There would be a small white outline for these stickers because of a contour cut. They were taken on a white background and outside in sunlight. They also had to be edited in Photoshop to remove the shadow that was created by the sun. This is what the badges looked like when we took the picture.
After editing them in Photoshop to remove the white background and the shadows this is what the pin badges looked like. The pink outline forms the shape of how they will be contour cut.
After that these files were printed and then allowed to dry for 24hrs. After drying they were laminated and then put back on the printer to be contour cut. The printer reads the lines and will cut the graphic with a small with outline around them. With the contour cut line there was a small outline of clear vinyl that surrounded the printed decal. The Jeep was also dropped off so we could install these printed decal stickers. They would be going on the side of the hood. Here are the install pictures of the stickers.
Using soapy water to help with the decals install. This lets us reposition the graphic for correct alignment. When in the right location the water is squeezed out. The adhesive isn’t affected by it.
The passenger side decals have already been installed.
This is a closeup of one of the printed stickers. You can faintly see the clear vinyl outline that exists around it. Again this wasn’t drawn or designed by us. This sticker comes from a picture of a button pin.
