Innovative Signs builds a large backdrop banner for Marana Chamber

This printed banner is for Marana Chamber of Commerce. The banner’s large size is because it will be used as a background for a show they will be doing. We made several versions in Illustrator to show how the logos will look like as a background. We settled at a 12″ wide logo for the backdrop banner. The logos step and repeat across the banner and partially wrap around behind the frame the customer built. Thanks Marana Chamber of Commerce for doing business with us.

We had to print this banner in 2 sections. Out printer isn’t big enough to print the full 7×8 size banner. To print this banner we had to print the banner in 2 pieces. Then when we physically made the banner it would have a seam in it to merge the two. After we trimmed and merged the two pieces of the backdrop banner we installed velcro. The velcro would be how the banner attaches to the pvc banner frame. We measured the distance around the frame to determine the best place to put the velcro with our extra banner material. This way it wraps around the frame  and secured on the backside. For added strength we added grommets into the banner’s edge seams and velcro.

This is our adding velcro step. This was done after the two banners were merged.

We installed the banner onto the frame to test out the best way to attach it for the customer. This is what the final backdrop banner turned out.
