Cut vinyl removal and installation for Grindstone Landscape and Maintenance

Innovative Signs of Tucson has done various other projects for Grindstone Property Management/Landscape and Maintenance. Such as vehicle graphics, business cards and embroidery. For this project we were going to remove the old vinyl off of their truck and replace it with updated graphics and information. People were getting Grindstone Property Management and the landscaping side of their business mixed up. The vinyl that was on the truck had this information and it needed to be updated to prevent further confusion. Thanks Grindstone Landscape and Maintenance for doing business with us.

Vinyl Removal

We started by removing the old vinyl. This vinyl was easy to remove because it was cut vinyl letters that wasn’t very old. We installed this vinyl not too long ago. After the vinyl letters were removed from all sides we cleaned the vehicle. A clean surface is important so the new vinyl can securely adhere itself to the truck’s surface. Dirt or adhesive can cause the graphics to lift if you skip this step.

Vinyl Installation

The vinyl installation process has us viewing printed proofs of what the finished product is supposed to look like. We take the taped vinyl graphics and compare it to the proof before taping it down in the general area where it is supposed to go. We fine detail the correct position and then tape it down. Then we peel away the backing paper and go over the graphic with a squeegee. After the vinyl is applied we peel off the transfer paper and that part of the job is completed.

Finishing Touches

After all the vinyl has been installed we go over the vehicle and fix any bubbles or debris that is under the vinyl. We make sure the vehicle’s graphics look the same as the proofs the customer approved. We do a final walk around and look for any issues with the install. After it is determined to be correct we contact the customer to let them know their vehicle is ready for pick up.
