Cut Vinyl Decals for McManus

Cut vinyl decals in Tucson – Vinyl decals for McManus by Innovative Signs

Did you think cut vinyl only meant having one color? Not always. It is possible to achieve two tone cut vinyl decals by having a “background” behind another set of vinyl. The “background” text or shape is made thicker while still following the shape of the text or shape but in a thicker form. This is cut separately from the inner text which has no changes done to it. This gives the illusion of the text or shape having an outline or stroke around it. The inner text is applied over the base vinyl and when it’s done you will have text or an image with an outline stroke around it. Learn more about custom vinyl work on our post here. This job we had to do just that. We built text and it was going to be two tone. The background vinyl was a different color than the inside text. We gave the text an offset path to make the letters thicker to get the outlined effect that we were looking for. Then we cut each color separately and weeded the vinyl to build these cut vinyl decals. First we started with the green vinyl. We had to weed this green vinyl first because this one is going to be the base/background layer. Green Cut Vinyl Decals Next we do the same with the black vinyl. Black vinyl weeded We applied the black cut vinyl over the thicker green vinyl. As you can see there is a green outlined stroke effect by having a larger text as the base layer and a smaller different colored text over it. Finished Cut Vinyl Decals Cut Vinyl Decal Proof
